Default My new Turbo S!

FINALLY made it to the Bug game!
I've been doing the Volkswagen "thing" for awhile now. Went through the Jettas, Gtis, Rabbits, etc. living the Vortex side of life... and for that, your sympathy is appreciated. But now my home page has changed! NewBeetle for the win!

I've always wanted a Turbo S and my chance finally showed up. Got my 03 Turbo S bone stock 3 weeks ago with 59k miles. Been busy trying to get it ready for show season. Have a ways to go, but it's finally pic worthy.

THE LIST:
Exterior
- Coilovers
- 19x8.5 19x9.5
- Tint (not pictured)
- Lots of wax and polish
Interior
- Velvet (gray and black) head liner
- Black zebra dash and parcel tray
- Pioneer deck (mp3/iPod/AUX)
- 12" JBL sub (x2)
- JL PowerSeries amp
Performance
- Stage 1 Unitronic
- Forged SPLTR Valve
- Short Ram

TO DO:
- FMIC is in my garage and should be installed in the next
week or so
- Yellow fogs
- Other turbo upgrades soon to come. My goal is 240hp
- Shaved hood and hatch (w/full front end and fender respray)
- CB exhaust
- AirRide

I was afraid to look.....it could have one of my former TS's. But, never had a black one....

Woot for a local NB.Org member! Hope that you can attend a GTG or two later in the year!

Welcome to the Org, and Congrats to you for your 6-speed Turbo S! They are so much fun, they should be illegal!

Thanks all!

Wingnut_rb - You may not haz them, but they would look great on your car!

Palmettoguy - It's just black. Meh. Been toying with the idea of a full Black Magic Pearl re-spray. Think it would be killer.

dnyed - Looks like you've had quite the assortment of Beetles. Haha! :thumb up:
I'll def be at the shows this season!

Some quick inside shots...
(car wasn't clean enough for full interior )

My vase...

Dash...

The fabric is cool because you only notice the texture in the right lighting and from certain angles. Usually takes people a few minutes.
I avoided covering the center piece because after looking at other peoples dash boards, it didn't sit as flush with the rest of the dash after fabric was applied.

The parcel shelf is also done in this fabric, but I don't have any pics.

Headliner/Pillars...

I have a few spots to re-work, but I love it! It's a directionally woven fabric, so it doesn't look it's best in photos. The material is a really soft velvet. The ladies tend to like it
All the pillars are matched in the same fabric, but it is black in color.
I chose these fabrics because they color match to the two tone Turbo S seats flawlessly.

Have more for ya soon!
