Default Topless Skull Bug

Well I finally think I have a theme going for my Bug. It started with the dealer mounting my front tag 3 inches off center. It was making me mental every time I looked at it. I decided to look for a new plate frame and remounted the tag. Here is a before and after

I'm not real big on anything to flashy, I prefer a more subtle tone but I like a theme so I am going to go with Sculls. They seem to be readily available with an endless amount options. I am keeping my eyes open for what catches my eye without being too tacky.

Default New Trailer for the Bug

I have had my eye on this for a while. I will be building a teardrop shell for this also. Now that I have the trailer I can start working out the actual measurements. I was going to build it from scratch but it was cheaper to buy it built

Nice pics Chuck. I am kind of partial to the skull thing too. Mine are the Harley Skull. Can't wait to see what you do with the trailer. Are you planning on putting the bicycles in there?

No the bicycles will always go on the bicycle rack. I will probably add a longer tong & add a receiver for the Bicycle to the tong. I think I will be building a slide in Gypsy Vardoe. It will be scaled down to size to fit the footprint of the trailer. I was going to build a teardrop but I like the idea of a Vardoe better.

I added these little guys to the bug today. I also wired up the trailer lights on the bug side. It wasn't that bad a job. Figuring out how the tail lights came out was the hardest part.

I was going to build a teardrop camper but now that I have the trailer I have decided to build a Gypsy Vardo based on the Reading Vardo design. I am going to use a slide truck camper construction so I can utilize the trailer. I am shooting a 1000lbs wet wt. The trailer's cargo foot print is 4'x 7' I am going to go for a vardo 6'x 8'x 6' in the trolly top. It will not be aerodynamic so I am not going to concern myself at all with that detail.
