Smile Sunny my 99 new beetle

Hi everyone! I am new here and a new beetle owner. I am soooo excited to finally have a beetle of my own! I have wanted one for so long and my hubby just bought me a 1999 Yellow beetle! He's the bestest! I feel like I have rescued her! she needs alot of work and just needs someone to love and take care of her and Im happy to do the job! Im happy to be a part of the group and hope to learn lots from everyone! She is very dirty, but hoping to get her cleaned up soon! Oh and her name is Sunny Thanks for having me!

She needs work,so these will be her before pics! I have so many thoughts and ideas of what I want to do on her.

Yes but it also brought out all the scratches, paint chips and dings I wish the previous owner would have taken better care of her body! It really makes me angry how careless they were with her inside and out...

Did her steering wheel spokes in vinyl this weekend! You can see from the above "before" pics they were very worn. I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Nice job! Did you know they make a yellow, leather wrapped, assist "grab" handle for the passenger side dash. I have a link somewhere. Or, paint the ends yellow to match your spokes.

Thanks! I can do all my own vinyl,as I have the equipment. Its fun to be able to make what ever I want for her! I would love to see this yellow grab handle, does it fit over the bar that is there already above the glove box? I would love to paint alot of the dash parts, but that is something the hubby will have to help me do and he's been working alot lately..maybe sometime in the future! Im going to get him to help me redo the headliner as well,it really needs it bad.

Yay for new parts! Sunny got a new hubcap today because she was missing one when I got her. And I got a steering wheel cover for her too! I just love peace signs and that is what is all over it.
