Found your thread searching for checkered NB's and I am totally loving the checkerboard and how into your car you are!

Also, your drawing of Muneca is flat-out amazeballs.

Looking forward to seeing what you do next!

Thanks!
I have actually checkered the back seats of my car, and are currently working on covering the headrests in checkers.
I haven't put up any new pictures, and my 3d model has been put into a mobile game currently in the early stages development. I will post up pictures though again...I sort of stopped putting up pictures lately.

Right now she has a santa hat on her antenna!

Default Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!

For Christmas, I have decorated my Muneca with a Santa hat. I took off her flower, and I have lined the dashboard with thin garland to not obstruct my view.

I also hung garland from the roof so it hangs through the windows, and put some in the back.

Definately gets lots of smiles from the freeway. : )

Your Muneca is really cute!! I like the eyelashes I also like the way you put a flower on your antenna. I was thinking about doing something like that to my Bug's antenna, but I'm not sure if it would hold up very well to the elements because it rains(and snows) a lot here in Illinois.

Thanks!!! Actually, it should hold up pretty well. I live in Cali where its always hot, but I actually drive through the mountains, where its always snowing, windy and raining, even in July where it's 100+ degrees an hour away.

What I did was I found a good thick flower, not the cheap thin $1 flowers with thin petals that come off with a single tug. I make sure my flowers (I change mine according to the season) have thick bases so if the petals do seem thin, I can always glue it down to make sure they don't fly off.

I then duct tape the leaves down to the stem, because duct tape is very weatherproof, and if necessary duct tape the base of the flower to the stem.

If the flower is too heavy, it will bend my antenna all the way down, so sometimes I put a thick pen or metal wire that won't bend at the base of the antenna, so it keeps the flower upright.

I simply then duct tape the antenna to the flower stem with black or green duct tape. The duct tape doesn't damage the antenna at all, and doesn't interfere with the radio.

The flower is now pretty much a part of the car now, and I drive at pretty fast speeds through some harsh weather, and it has never once come off. I go through car washes and leave it in the hot boiling weather. Not a single petal comes off or anything.

Just make sure it's not a white flower, because those get SUPER dirty with rain.

Hope that helps! : )

With the santa hat, I simply cut two holes on the bottom front, put string through there, and duct taped the string to the antenna since duct tape doesn't stick to fabric. The back is entirely loose, and so is the top, but surprisingly it hasn't sunk down.

Thanks for the tips on how to put a flower on the antenna I think I will give it a try on my Bug! Next time I go to the craft store, I'm going to pick out some flowers; I already have some green duct tape.
