Have you guys ordered parts from Rock Auto? Through Paypal?? I'm ordering an oil pan and I want to just make sure it's legit to send them $50 thru paypal and then have them ship my item.

You have done a stellar job bringing Penny back to a glorious life. Don't sell her, she needs you!

Thanks! I just installed Penny's new oil pan myself, it only cost me $115!
($50 for the pan, $20 for oil and filter, $12 for gasket, $33 for a sensor hole plug)

I heard a lady at the dealership get charged $538 for the same thing! eek! haha
Next on the list is to fix the AC... O.O

See what doing minor repairs on your own will cost you. Great job on the repair and good luck with the AC.

Great Job!! I'm kinda partial to the red ones. If you want a quick fix for the front end to help hide those scrapes and that nose piece that is zip tied on try a Bra. Mine had some chips and scrapes from normal driving and the bra really made her look good.If you want an idea of what it would like first I have pics on here of mine with the bra on. Shes a 99 red one so your 98 would look the same. My bra cost like 40 bucks. Just a thought. Glad to see you giving her the love she obviously needed.

Good job with the oilpan!

Yeah, it is possible to save lot of money, if you can do repairs yourself I´m doing as much as possible also.

Well, AC might be more difficult task...? I wish luck with it!

Hey guys! Thank you!
I havnt been on in a while, did a few things to Penny though!
-I got a great new sticker

-New radio

-Painted the little plastic pieces on the sides of the handle on the passenger side red.
-Patched a tire, and removed a nail that didn't penetrate from another(need to balance them in the shop when I get time, may fix odd noise?)
I also NEED alignment desperately, whats the cheapest place to get that done?

Also exciting, my boyfriend just got his fist car... finally lmao so we painted his rims a sexy dark grey/kinda gunmetal, and painted his calipers red

Penny hit 190,000 miles today to celebrate, she decided to leak a ton more oil and start burning something in the engine...

Update!
Got a new car, not sure if he will be replacing Penny or if we are going to keep Penny, re-rebuild her and use her as a spare car.
This is the new guy- Name ideas?

Penny- Well... little miss trouble... We think maybe faulty water pump? o.O Over heating light and alarm turn on after a VERY short drive(3min?) Shes running out of coolant after every drive, but leaking nothing.
She was leaking out full pans of oil every day ... -.- but when I re-filled coolant, oil draining stopped??? wtf?? And yes it was most certainly oil. Needless to say shes going to be non-op for a little while until the new guy is up and running as a daily hopefully.

Hey that is a great looking car, awesome lines. Sounds like the perfect time to tear down Penny. I am telling you, you will regret getting rid of her if you decide to go that route. I miss Mr.Yellow the car I have now has no personality and no connection to me. its quite sad. I hope you keep her
