Default 1998- PennyLane

First of all I would like to apologize for using poor language in my introduction, I was furious at the time :/ Anyyywhooo, We've been working on my beetle trying as hard as we can to fix her. I decided to name her PennyLane(aka Penny) after the song by The Beatles. This was the first weekend that I was able to get out and give her some much needed love. So after a thorough washing, I moved to the interior and super cleaned it with Maguires interior detailer and a vacuum I replaced the steering wheel VW badge, and sanded and re-painted the steering wheel spokes and door handles glossy black. I also added a pretty flower and my little dream catcher to the vase and cleaned my my wheels.
Do you guys think I should buy two new VW hub caps or go with the retro steelie look like I think MarvinsDad did? Either way I currently have two hubcaps and two neked steelies haha

I am so glad to see she is coming back to her beautiful self.

I kinda like the retro steelie look. It's one that you can always change later.

New Sticker came (a.k.a. her attitude) I'm taking her to Oil Can Henry's tomorrow morning for a 20 point inspection and then I can finally drive her daily for the first time since buying her <3

Took Penny to get all her fluids changed today and Oil Can Henry's informed me that they could not change the oil because the oil pan is stripped... awesome. But at least she's running. We ended up rebuilding the engine/valve job, She is so quiet now <3 almost like a Prius! haha

FWIW ECS Tuning has an oil change kit where you pump it out from the top. Maybe that would be the way to go, for now, so you can start running with new/clean oil.

Penny looks (and sounds like she is running) miles better than when you started. It's awesome that you are taking care of her and rescuing her.

Great job!
