Default Applehat's 2001 New Beetle TDi

This is my first post!

This is my 2001 NB TDi. Its a pile .

Its mainly my daily driver - I have a 2011 Subaru WRX for fun .

Its a sweet car, I get over 50mpg daily!

Here are my most recent pictures.

And here are some of the things that have been on the hood (my girlfriend and little sister ruin it often =P)

Edit:

Mod List:
- Diesel Geek EGR Delete
- Evry Mod
- Rocketchip Stage 2
- Mufflerectomy with side exit pipe (ghetto but sounds good and works fine.)
- Pioneer Headunit
- 5% tint (im removing it from the front windows because I cant see. Previous owner did this)
- Removed the Hub caps =P
- Chalkboard Hood
- Wink Mirror
- Dieselgeek Panzerplate
- Rokkor Coilovers

That's a fun idea! You can change it daily! I personally am not that brave, but I admire that you are!

I almost forgot I posted this.

I wasn't too worried about hurting the beetle as Im not really "in love" with it like alot of NB owners seem to be. My subaru has my heart =P.

Also, its a 2001, so the paint isn't in great shape as it is.

I think the chalkboard hood made it a little less girly (until girls drew on it.).

I plan to get a skid plate and raceland coilovers soon, so I can remove the rest of the GIRLY from it. =)

Isn't your bug a 1999 or 2000? Only reason I say that is because in 2001 they changed the mirrors. Lol yeah subaru* are awesome cars now! I would seriously purchase one!

Like the chalkboard hood. That's pretty sweet. You must have a manual, I am so jealous right now. I totaled my 98 TDI and have an 03 Auto TDI and haven't seen better than 41 yet. I'm so not OK with just 41mph after having a car that got 44/54 pretty reliably.

Honestly, It may be a 2000. I always forget.

It is indeed a 5-speed.

And a wink mirror is a 5 panel panoramic mirror. Its not in those pictures. Ill take new pictures today.

Cool, I'm from Phenix City but have since moved to Georgia. Not like you can tell the difference; they both are red neck back woods arm pits of the country.
