Really like it -the body kit looks very good-color is different but i like it-keep us posted on upgrades.

I believe he is in the middle east?
They released that as a factory car - it has the same RSi kit as the RSi's and Beetle Cups, but the interior and is sim. to our stock - I think the seats actually have some embrodery on them. If I remember correctly the engine is a 1.8t, but might be tuned a bit.

The nb is unique. I would like to see more pics

I would like to have rsi kit but the price is high ,and then if you got the kit and damaged a part beyond repair -I understand you have to buy complete kit again.

Wonder about the beetle cup connection kit-that looks good-any one got info on it. Pm me on this kit.

Really unique and sweet ride dood, HOWEVER, unless u drop in a VR6, 6 speed, AWD and a bunch of cool brushed aluminum interior trim, it ain't an RSi, it's a Beetle Cup Edition...just go with the VW Racing ".:R" designation...

Not a kit - came from the factory that way - w/ real RSi body parts.

I always thought it was ironic that the only areas not trimmed were the a/c vents!

Sorry to resurrect this thread, its been ages i know and i have no idea why i didnt reply. Thanks for the comments much appreciated.

Was searching for some Cup Edition pictures and some for sale and it brought me to this thread.

Long story short, i was in Scotland, a student from Bahrain. While i was there in Scotland, the beetle was kept at a friends house. This friend was taking the car for spins without me knowing until he got caught by the police racing it and got impounded. He never told me about it, how it happened and all. When i got back home for vacation, met up with the guy to take my car for a spin. He was ignoring my calls for 3 days until i got fedup and went to his house. The guy came out with all his excuses until he spitted the truth about what happened..

It was impounded for 5 months then auctioned

I didnt make a big deal out of it, did not take him to court or did anything to harm him. I just walked away and still in touch with the guy from time to time.

Recently i found a low milage cup edition for sale and i think im gonna pull the trigger. Cant wait, hopefully soon i'll be back on the forums with big plans for it.

No offense taken...I didnt know back then there was another Rsi, i thought the one i had was called Cup Edition Rsi according to the dealer.

I did go mental on him, and took it like a man, everyone makes mistakes and he learned alot from it. Didnt want him to pay because he had money issues and too much debt back then and didnt want to make his life more miserable.

Mmmmhhhh..a nice and fair threatment from you side but if this car would be mine I wouldn't react like you...more in the other direction. Especially for such a car I wouldn't give the keys away...

However its happened and it's very brave from you stay with it..

Wish I found a cup Edition with low mls but unfortunatly nothing to find on the continent. Good luck an keep us updated
