[Stlbug]

I bought the car for basic transportation with 90,000 mi on it. ( what was I thinking?) After owning it 1 month the problems began,a new CEL every week. After year and a half I have replaced the battery, battery fuse block, alternator cable,timing belt,waterpump, valve body,catalytic converter, new brake pads and rotors, 4new tires, mass air flow sensor, water temp sensor, 2 door speakers, new grill and fog lights, not tomention I have to put gas in it every week. I am too far into it to stop now, however, I am done spending money on the car for the year. I have a sail boat to worry about, but thats another story.Nexted spring, new paint for the front and rear fenders and bumper covers and hood, and 2 new head lights and some interior work and that should do it.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues. You do know that you have a Limited Edition NB, tho......Keep it, take care of it, it's an awesome, beautiful New Beetle.

Oh, you have had lots of difficulties...

But your Bug is a pretty one, I like it much
Just be patient with it... I hope it will start to behave better.

I've had difficulties with mine too .... but I've been blessed. I have 125K on my 99 ... and Im working on the kinks, slooooowly but surely.
