Hello! Stopping by to say hi to you and Emil. I saw one of your posts in another thread and clicked in your signature line for your pictures and noticed you put some clears on Emil - which look GREAT! And did I spy with my little eye that you also put a new radio in Emil?

Coming soon is tinted windows! I have to wait until Friday but I couldn't help myself with uploading these photos! Apparently the New Beetle was "sent from Satin himself to punish people who tint windows" according to my local tint guy.

Are the rear windows a darker tint then the front? What percentage did you use?

My local laws will compel me to answer yes,
"There is no tint allowed on the front two driving compartments windows, any tiny allowed on other back windows assuming car is equipped with two side view mirrors"

So I pushed getting very light 50% tint on front two,
and I put 20% on back three.


I also got good news this morning! I contact the previous owner questioning about the timing belt (and other maintaince issues) and to my delight I found out that my clutch, Master & slave cylinder, timing belt (tensioner, water pump), and brake pads were replaced 10'000km ago!
I was getting so nervous about it after hearing all the horror stories about timing belt braking so now it's a huge wave of relief. The previous owner said I have a good 100'000km left to go good news to start my Saturday!

Update: February 6th!

I deleted my other post because it was low quality photos & photography is sorta my hobby so I took my time today & spent sometime doing my two favourite hobbies! My car & photography!

My family has a wide collection, including mine we have 7 vehicles in total!
He's collected a 1979 Ferrari 308 gts, 1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II, 2004 Boxster S, 2001 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra. Those are the only interesting ones, rest of them are siblings cars/daily commuters.

My dad has always chuckles about my obsession with such a small invaluable car (the only car I can afford on my budget) but it's something fun we work on together
