Talking Sad End, Good Beginning: 1.9TDI

Hello fellow Beetle lovers! So I haven't posted in FOREVER! I had a 2002 Cyber Green Beetle, she hit about 129,000 miles before someone rear ended me at 40mph and I hit the poor old man in his Prius in front of me It was the worst experience in my life, everyone was asking me if I was ok and where I was hurt because I was crying so badly, but I was so sad looking at my poor Sluggy.(P.S. The feeling of airbags deploying is crazy) Couple months of physical therapy and I was back in action. So of course I had to get another CYBER GREEN BEETLE! So I found a TDI 2005 CYBER GREEN 86,000miles on her, only problem was she was in Texas, heck that wasn't stopping me. So I went with my dad, on the way back I drove 22hours, it was hard but so so so worth it! I have some picks of my old Beetle, hopefully tomorrow I will get some up of my new TDI

(First pick is before car accident, should say Aug 26th)

So sad to hear about your 2002. But, as you know, she gave up herself for you. You are here, because of her.

I am happy to hear, though, that you found a great replacement! Congratulations to you!

Welcome back to the New Beetle!

Welcome back to the New Beetle!
Thank you so much for your kind words. And yes my poor Sluggy did, but I swear nothing like a German body, even though I was squished between two cars, their cars were more banged up, one was a Prius and the other a Cobalt.

Oh, so sad to hear about your accident
I´m glad, you´re all right; that´s the main thing!

Wow, you really drove long time when you picked up your current TDI Bug! Amazing, I must say

I am so glad, that you´re happy again! No need for tears

Enjoy your TDI Bug; it is very economical.

Thanks Kuplamies! Well, I was in your thread, I know you have a silver TDI I love TDI's so much now! The other day my friend saw my car she said, "Why would you get a diesel in such a dainty car?" So I told her, "Honey, you just don't get it and you never will!" LOOL

Sorry about you losing Sluggy. He gave himself so that you would be safe.
Congrats on your new bug. Good thing he's a TDI- at least you had good gas mileage on the trip back.

Thank you so much, just waiting for the weather to get better. Like my TDI, we both hate the cold and our performance decreases

Thank you Scarab! But my TDI is a "she" , she just doesn't have a name yet . I drove with my dad infront of me, he was driving our 2002 Jetta 2.0, and he kept stopping to fill up gas, he spent about $225 on gas and I spent $125 on diesel!

Woohoo!! So today my Beetle (still no name), hit 90,000! Her key fob finally started working, I could lock the car and open the trunk but I could not unlock it, had to manually do it. ALSOOOOOO HER NEW LICENSE PLATE CAME IN!!! More pictures to come! Wooohoooo

Very nice bug. Maybe you could call her Teddi,,'cause the plates if you didn't know what TDI stands for, kinda looks like TeddiBugg. And these little cars do give you that warm and fuzzy feeling like a cuddly old Teddy Bear does.
