Default 99 NB GLX 1.8T- Hans

Thought I would post a few pics of my bug Hans I would have more but my batteries died in my camera. I'll add more once I get some fresh batteries and decent weather to take pics.

I'll add some of my wifes 07 harvest moon too once I get her washed up. Hopefully I can clean it up sunday...

Nice....Reflex silver with a black gut. I know your lovin that 1.8T more and more, lol. You can pick up the engine cover on ebay cheap. Looks good as it sits. But a set of wheels and some tint would really set it off. I see your in Va and that you have 2 NB's that puts you on the prestigious T.o.D. invite list.
Tail of the Dragon is the first weekend in May, and is one of the best New Beetle gtg in the country. Check out the thread here 2012 Tail Of The Dragon Cruise/ Weekend and pics from last year here Official 2K11 ToD photo thread we would love to have you come join the fun. I guarantee you will have a blast. Great cars, great roads, and great people. Think about it!!

Thanks. Yea I'm diggin the 1.8T now that I know thats what I have. lol The ToD even looks like a good time. I will have to see if we can make it. It's about a 7.5 hour drive from here so its not too far. It would be nice to show off Hans and Gretel...and meet some fellow NB enthusiasts.

The windows actually are tinted already but it isn't real dark..which I like. Too dark and it's hard to see at night. Wheels may come in the future but for now I kinda like the sleeper effect.

Funny thing is that until a few months ago we had never owned a VW at all...beetle or otherwise. Now I am a complete convert.

It's raining today so more pics will have to wait... I was hoping to get my sub/amp installed but it will have to wait for a dry day.

Love your Beetle! I do not like silver cars, but the Beetle pulls it off the best, the only car I would buy it in silver! Can't wait to see more pictures!

Thanks. I'm usually not a fan of silver on most cars either but the bug wears it well IMO. Really looks good when the sun is going down and all the colors of the sunset reflect off the silver paint. Looked good under bright moonlight the other night too. Somehow it had a bluish tint to it...

I never expected having 2 bugs in the driveway. I grew up around muscle cars...mostly chevy's.

Finland huh? Cool...looks like a beautiful backdrop for your silver TDI

A fresh one of the 99 plus a couple from our recent road trip to ohio. Nearly 1000 miles round trip and we drove both NB's... It was a great drive through the mountains of WV and the blue ridge mountains of VA. Not sure I've ever enjoyed an 8 hour(one way) drive more.
