Thanks Kuplamies, it does suck but I guess it is to be expected on a daily driver. The quick fix has been done by the tuner guys for a couple years now.

Reading the above comment made me laugh out loud, and then I was thinking... "How much power does YeloJkt put out to smoke the wheels at 80MPH?"

Thank you for a MOST Entertaining read,

75shot is just messing with me I really don't think yelojkt will lay rubber at 80 but it is a fun ride. Hope you get a beetle soon thay are a blast to drive.

Love the thread and really love yelojkt! I have followed you since I bought mine 5 years ago with hopes that I may one day be able to take on some of the mods you have made. I have 148000 on Taters Toy and still going strong.

Keep the thread alive because it's inspiring!

Wow has yelojkt really been down since March. Well he is back up and running the downpipe has been rewelded and is as good as new. There is also a 42 DD O2 stand-off on there now. Installed new sensors and now running with no check engine light.

Also had my Raxles rebuilt while I was getting the DP welded.
They are back on so he should be running smooth and quite.

It will be good to be driving yelojkt again.

It's about G'damn time you got the ole boy back on the road. Although I'm certainly in touch with that emotion as mine has reached that point in her life where she is shedding parts faster than I can attach new ones.

Hey Tom man I can't believe I have not been on here since June. I laughed so hard when I read what you wrote about Pomelo. I kinda know how you feel. I feel like Jim Douglas in "The Love Bug" out looking at different cars while yelojkt sits at home faithfully waiting on me to drive him some more. I lime the 2012 beetle's looks and engine but if I was to start driving anything else I think it would be an "04" R32. Oh and I will never sell yelojkt just go out and buy a different car. Then I would have two.

Yelojkt has been back on the road since early September. He has been my wife "daily" for about six months now, while I have been riding alot. I drove up to Kansas City a couPle weeks ago and was reminded how much I love and miss driving him.

Something in the tranny let go violently...

Look, there is a bolt sticking out the bottom of the differential. Oops. That can't be good.

Well it looks like I will be on the 600 for awhile.

As I get the "67" going and save up to go through yelojkt. He has been needing some attention as of lately. So he will just get parked for now until I get some funds together and decide what direction I want to go with him.
