Default RHD 2004 TDi - UK going retro

A little introduction is in order I think

I have been a newbeetle fan since '98 and posted on the UK newbeetle club site since 2000/2001 after previously being a part of the newbug.com email list.

Sadly personal circumstances have meant that I haven't owned a newbeetle in all this time. I have had a few aircooled cars and still own the cabrio below:

Finally in December 2005 (Christmas Eve infact) I collected my new beetle.

It is a 2004 TDi (100 BHP PD engine) with manual trans, winterpack (fogs, heated seats etc..) and rear parking sensors. The arrival of the 'new' facelift car spurred me into buying one of the pre-facelift cars as I really wanted one in this style.

Anyway, on with the pics, I'll keep updating as the mods happen

It's a daily driver, so winter roads aren't kind:

Nice cars. I love to see daily drivers. That sunset shot is really cool. You should tone down the reflective license plate ai photoshop and submit the pic for the homepage.

Gorgeous!

Where abouts in the UK are you, if you don't mind me asking? Some of the scenary looks familiar! Could even have been yours I saw that made my mind up about wanting one a couple of weeks ago! ('twas a black one just like yours on the A38)

Was the CD expensive / difficult to install? Think the one I have my eye on only has cassette.

Hiya matey, sorry I can't buy your cab but I've got to pave the driveway and leaving it out wouldn't do it justice.
Some great shots and the sunset shot would look good as suggested.
