yeah man, they're awesome design.
i'm on my second set of 19s.

btw, on your newest car photos..the color in between spokes not dark anymore.
did you match it with the face of the rim?

looks very nice actually.
for a while, i've been thinking to match the color but not sure if they will look good or not.

Went out to visit my bodyman today. My bumpers are on the stands finally. I guess he just started on them a few hours before I showed up.

$450 worth of Fusor materials...

Mounting tabs cut off and sanded smooth. Clear plastic membrane is on the other side to keep the Fusor patches from sagging too much during the work time.

But all in all, it's the coolest hotrod shop in the area by far. Never a dull moment out there.

I've been collecting retrofit parts over the past few weeks to make the OEM HID's work. Going to get the levelling feature working as well. Picked up a much needed Walbro to keep my AFR's kosher and grabbed a dogbone mount kit for the TDI to start getting rid of the sloppy stock shifter feel.

I've always wanted a MK5 but I've never been in the position to own one. I was searching junkyards online the other week and I came across these for really cheap.

If my eyes see things correctly, this is what route I will go to get some low on Cup. Something adjustable on the fly. The roads here in Jax aren't to forgiving.

Congrats on the find. When is the installation my man?

Thanks Al!

Installing sometime in mid-April since my car is still in storage. Can't wait!

I really got lucky with this setup that it was built for a MK4. The trunk setup took the PO 2 weekends to wire and plumb together so getting this in basically drop-in form (vs a bag of fittings, valves and wires) is reeeeally convenient.

Are you gonna C notch the frame? How low do you plan to go?

Haha, thanks guys! No drugs unfortunately. It was a combination of selling a lot of spare parts like wheels, my old leathers, old tires, headstuds, spacers, etc etc and then hitting up my LOC for a little extra. The owner of the setup put $4000 into it and I got it for $2200 and just selling my wheels, spacers and seats almost paid for it. It was too good of a deal to let go since if I ever wanted to go air this was my chance to do it for half the price and I would have been kicking myself later.

Anyway, not sure how low the car will go but I'm planning to take the FSB out and notch the frame for sure. It all depends on how low the wheels will let the car go.
