Went out to visit my bodyman today. My bumpers are on the stands finally. I guess he just started on them a few hours before I showed up.
$450 worth of Fusor materials... ![]() Mounting tabs cut off and sanded smooth. Clear plastic membrane is on the other side to keep the Fusor patches from sagging too much during the work time. But all in all, it's the coolest hotrod shop in the area by far. Never a dull moment out there. ![]() |

I've been collecting retrofit parts over the past few weeks to make the OEM HID's work. Going to get the levelling feature working as well. Picked up a much needed Walbro to keep my AFR's kosher and grabbed a dogbone mount kit for the TDI to start getting rid of the sloppy stock shifter feel.
I've always wanted a MK5 but I've never been in the position to own one. I was searching junkyards online the other week and I came across these for really cheap. |

If my eyes see things correctly, this is what route I will go to get some low on Cup. Something adjustable on the fly. The roads here in Jax aren't to forgiving.
Congrats on the find. When is the installation my man?

Thanks Al!
![]() Installing sometime in mid-April since my car is still in storage. Can't wait! ![]() I really got lucky with this setup that it was built for a MK4. The trunk setup took the PO 2 weekends to wire and plumb together so getting this in basically drop-in form (vs a bag of fittings, valves and wires) is reeeeally convenient. |

![]() Anyway, not sure how low the car will go but I'm planning to take the FSB out and notch the frame for sure. It all depends on how low the wheels will let the car go. |
