So I just got a call from my painter today that the bumpers are going to be finished on Wednesday so hopefully we can get them fitted asap.

Finally got the car out tonight, washed and gave it a fresh coat of wax. No air-ride or Votex bits yet but the wheels and the OEM bixenons are fitted and completely working.

I've never seen OEM monoblocks on a NB before. Only those TSW Holsten lookalikes. Got a link?

Hmm. I can't recall seeing them either.. if I have, it's been awhile.. most of the time I see them on other cars that are platinum grey'ish colors and they just seem a bit blah. saw pictures on a blue car, too.. but those were either chromed or really over polished (probably chromed, because I know someone with polished ones and they weren't as shiny) and i thought it looked like crap.

Yeah I'm not really big on the bling look either. They come factory polished but the wheels were in need of a refinishing when I got them so I had them brushed and cleared like my old ones were. The cutouts were also sprayed a darker grey than they would have come with from the factory. Here's a pic of one when they were fresh out of paint.

Ride does look sweet !!

So you gonna swap your current shaved rear bumper and modified front bumper to the TDI when you get it painted?

Thanks! I'd love to but I really don't like spending that kind of money on my winter car. I'm going to keep the current bumpers from the 2.0T somewhere safe in case I ever want to switch back.

Uck! When will people learn that Audi rims belong on Audi-s!!!

At least that would be what you would normally post on someone else's thread that you disagree with their taste... LOL

Just messing with you man.
