I photoshopped a lot of different things and I found the hatch looked weird totally shaved. Plus I don't want any trouble getting my car inspected since so many lights are getting shaved already.

I just visited Fred for, (I think), the last time until the car is done. :? Heading back to school on Tuesday so I'm obviously taking my winter beater back to school and I'll come home to get the bug when it's done.

The car is totally stripped, the bodywork is mostly finished and it should be ready to paint soon. ...I hope..

Oh, and one more little thing. Decided to test-fit a new toy while the bumper was off.

That's it for now!

No real updates from the bodyshop. He had to take some insurance work and got backed up a few weeks.

I'm not really upset about it and I haven't pushed him to speed things up because my whole area is torn up. They're digging up the roads and laying these huge yellow pipes, so the roads are a complete mess and I wouldn't be able to take the car outside anyway due to my lack of ground clearance. Hopefully the roads will be all fixed up soon so I can actually use the car when I get it back.

Parts keep showing up though. These just showed up not too long ago:

They're Recaro Speed replicas made by Yonaka Motorsports. I paid $900 for them with Sparco bases.

They're really nice and super comfy, but a heavier person may have problems with the bolsters. They're pretty snug.

There's no heaters or airbags in them, so they're very light and should make a nice difference installed.

I have another update already!

I've wanted to go turbo for a long time, and I finally managed to pick this up today:

I'm going to be running Stage 3 on the car next year, hoping for 240whp. I ordered Stage 1 since Stage 3 is just Stage 1 with a FMIC and a headspacer. I already have the FMIC and I'll order the headspacer when I have the spare cash. They use the same C2 2.0T chip for Stage 1-3.

Very excited to say the least.

That kit looks sick!!! You are going to need wings on your bug. Meticulous shoot, I must say. Planning to upgrade brakes?

they do have different programs for Stock vs. Lowered compression. Stage 1 C2 programs are typically for stock compression. Stg 2 would be the start of dropped compression.

everything looks good. Keep it up.

So I went to visit the slowest bodyman on the planet today.

It's all primed now, the climate control is on in the paint booth and paint should be here in the next few days. He's obsessed with perfection, so the car is now 100% straight. He's been running lights all over the car this week to make sure the paint will "have perfect reflections".

Anyway, I'm very excited to see how it turns out.

It will be worth the wait man. Can't wait to see the end result. It's good to have someone who pursues perfection such as you painter does. Do you have an estimate time of completion?
