Default Miss Daisy Mae from Texas!!!

Just wanted to show off Miss Daisy Mae's new additions since we bought her a month ago. She's the most amazing comfortable and great smelling vehicle I've ever owned!

This is my 4th beetle since 1976 but my first 'new beetle convertible' so I feel like a teenager again!

Guess I'm going through a mid-life crisis since I always talk to her every time I see her. But my husband talks to her as well, so it must be a contagious virus or something! I just know I'm addicted to her and she is the light of our lives!

Very Nice, Miss Daisy Mae is beautiful. I'm on my second New Beetle, I had 3 air cooled. I just love how easily you can create them to fit your own personally. And your right about comfort, especially for such a small car, I'm 6' 6" and 270 and can drive my baby all day and be comfortable.

I DO have it bad don't I? Sometimes I feel like people are making fun of me with all the magnets and decals on the bugdash but I really wanted to make her look like her name. I can take them off but then she would look just like all the other Mellow Yellow NBC's. *sigh*

I guess I really am going through a mid-life crisis but I just love her sooooooo much!!!

I am looking at posts today and wanted to look at pics of everyone's buggies and I just love this bug lol. I am shopping for one in Maryland and by the looks of alot of them they were not cared for. It makes me smile to see how much you love your car and put effort into making it so nice and a representation of you. I hope the bug I get will have been loved too.

Where do you get all your decor like the steering wheel and the light covers? I would love to know for future reference. <3

I can't thank you enough for your kind words. I have felt kind of weird decorating her with all the daisies but I just didn't want her to be another average NBC on the road and I wanted her to be unique!

I always buy EVERYTHING on Ebay! Been on there since 2004. Just type in daisy decals or floral decals or if you want magnets then just type in daisy magnets or floral magnets. It takes a while sometimes but it's worth the search! And I've also bought and sold a VW Bug on Ebay and right now there's some good ones out there. You just have to get it shipped to you if it's not close but you can usually get them cheaper than buying them locally. Also look on Craigslist at your city and cities close by! I've heard that 2006-2010 are the best ones to buy and always try and find one with low miles and few owners! Don't give up! You will find the right one for you! (hug)

You should not feel any kind of way at all. I want mine to be unique also I have my heart set on a 2006 but the prices around here will not let me get one that new. It's funny because I started my budget and it keeps going up. I saw so many for 5k and when I pushed my budget to 5k they were all gone! lol
I have bought quite a few things from ebay before but never thought of getting a car! That is just scary to me, but I will take your advice and see if I can find anything. I am either gonna try to save and go for a 2006 or get a older one for the time being. But your bug is my favorite hands down. (hugs u back)

I forgot to mention that our 2006 vert cost us $12,500 back in June when we got her. Now I see them for $10,000. Verts are more costly but I bet you can find what you're looking for on Ebay or Craigslist. Can you put $5,000 down and finance the rest? Just a thought. I'm really crossing my fingers that you will find the right one for you!

Yes the convertibles i am seeing with your mileage are around 12k easy, but more mileage they go down alot here. The cheapest 2006 coupe I see is around 8k with 50k miles. I have been thinking about putting down 5k on one, but if I finance I would have to have my dream buggy the harvest moon. For some time now I had thought only the Turbo s had that look until I came across a 2006 triple white buggy. I mostly see 1999-2003 buggys driving around I assume. I like that you don't see the 2006 and up models as much here. I see a convertible buggy I had looked at on ebay, I might make them a offer..but I see people are really bidding on it. I have been anti convertible until I seen your Miss Daisy Mae. Mostly because I have been scared of the maintenance and I never had one before. I am gonna send you a friend request if I can do that on here and you don't mind.

I don't mind the friend request and I think I already requested you! Lol!

As far as the 'Harvest Moon' would you also consider 'Mellow Yellow'? That is what mine is and in some lights she looks beige and some she looks light yellow. They are so close it's hard to tell sometimes!

I think the Harvest Moon only comes with black or beige interior while the Mellow Yellow comes in Grey and Black. I personally don't like black interior on a vert because the black absorbs the sun really quick and that leather gets HOT! I like beige or tan interior best but it also shows dirt more so even though grey wasn't my first choice, I'm beginning to think its the best option. Like tan it doesn't get hot as much as the black interior.

And I've heard that these verts are more maintenance but I've only had Daisy about six weeks so I'm new to this whole thing. I've always wanted a convertible car and I've been a Bug lover since I was a teenager back in the 70's. This is my first 'NewBeetle' and I am totally in love with these cars!

I've owned a LOT of cars in my lifetime and before this one, Buicks were always the most comfortable. But this little girl hugs me everytime I sit in her and I've never 'melted' every time I sit down in a vehicle until now.

Even though you love the Harvest Moon, it's really more important to get a car that has been spoiled and kept in a garage and well maintained.

Do you have a VW dealership close to you where you can test drive a vert to see if you like it?

I like the color of your Miss Daisy Mae also! It does look very similar. I had wanted to be match matchy and have harvest moon beige with beige leather seats!! lol. Yes, I have quite a few VW dealerships around me, but most only have the beetle so I haven't looked at them much. I think I just accepted your request!! Thank you!

Your little bug is beautiful! It's fun to 'decorate' them. To me, it is the only car out there that you can do this to and really have fun with it! Keep smiling!
