Default Pics of our new bug!

We just bought a 2000 GLS!
White exterior/gray leather inside.
Its pretty loaded with seat heaters/sunroof/cd changer/automatic and we really like it.
Its my wife's car....I'm jealous.

Here's a link to some pictures:

It looks like the previous owner stuck on some chrome inside door handle appliques. Otherwise looks stock.

BTW Why is it that top of our door (from the inside) is black rubber instead of painted to match the exterior? (maybe this question belongs in the interior section...)

White Beetles have always had the black trim inside the car...never understood why, but it's alwasys been that on white New Beetles.

The chrome inner door handles are cheap. I used to have them in my car, but got rid of it for the grey handles, and it looks so much better.

I like it. Chrome accents can add a ton of character. Makes me want some chrome.

Yeah..if you do it right, chrome is great...but do it wrong..and those inner door handles are made very cheap, they make the vehicle look tacky. It did mine.

Thank you for your comments!
I wish it had painted inner doors because this rubber is fallin apart and looks like crap. I wish there some trim I can cover it with....

I paid 8200 for it (70000 miles).....thought it was a bit on the high side, but it was the best maintained of all the used NBs I have seen. No wear on steering wheel, trunk hatch, lip spoiler etc.

Do you mean the inner door trim you wish was painted or the inner door handles that are currently chrome?

The inner door trim....I wish it was paiinted to match the exterior like all other non-white/black NBs.

The chrome handles are ok with me, but wife thinks they are cheezy.....I'm gussing it was put on to cover the wear, so thats ok.

I just wish the door trim rubber was replaceable.

I agree with your wife. They are cheesy. That's why I took mine off.

You can replace the entire inner-door panel. Just look for people parting our Bugs on this site or in your salvage yards at wrecked Beetles.
