Thanks for all the nice comments! I love my '66 too, I have had it since 1986, omg 20 years now, got it in high school. I have had the nbc 2 days now and can't stop smiling I can't believe all the stares it has been getting, making me kinda selfconscious.hehe. My kids wanted joyrides all day yesterday so thats what we did. My 8 year old loves the trunk, yes the trunk!!! He kept getting in it, like it was his cave hehe. The trunk was kind of a novelty to him since we had minivans and suv's as our family cars before the nbc. Yes the nbc is now the family car, traded in the Explorer. I thought I would miss the explorer but I don't so far, probably will when I need to haul something. I will post new pics later.

I've never seen a red vert with a cream top before, just black tops and I loooooovvvvvveeeee that cream top and interior.

Love your NBC and the color. I noticed on one of your pics that you have something plugged in under the radio, I am assuming it's for an ipod. I also bought Ruby an ipod with a red leather case, but mine plugs in between the radio and the glove compartment. Any one else have theirs in the same place as mine? The book says it's under the radio, but mine is not.

Yep, that is for my ipod. I just love using it in the nbc. My son has the nano but my shuffle is much easier to use while I'm driving hehe. I wonder why yours is in a different place?

Beautiful car!!! Both the VW dealership where I bought my Beetle last January and the Dealership where I service my VWs had "your" model on display in the main showroom, its soooo nice.

Makes me sad that my iPod has to connect through the tapedeck for right now... that might be a future mod for me...

Could be the dealer-accessory integrated iPod adapter, and the dealer ran it into the glovebox.
