Default AussieVW's Platinum Grey 2004 Beetle

Well,
I can now post pics, as the Car Show I've been getting ready for - The VW Nationals - held in Sydney, was on the weekend and got 2nd place!
I'm pretty happy about that as it was the first show I've entered.
I've only had the car 3mths and it was stock standard. Since I bought it I have done the following:-

Exterior Mods:-

Rear spoiler

Caractere Body kit (Front & Rear Valance and side skirts)

20" BSA Rims on 20x35 low profile tyres

Chrome tail light Surrounds

Chrome headlight surrounds

Chrome Door handles

Chrome door finger plates

Chrome stubby Antenna

Chrome Fuel door cover

Midnight Express Window Tint

Sports Exhaust with Double Stainless Steel tips

Painted Brake callipers

Number Plate - BE33TL

Chrome Number Plate surrounds

Interior Mods:-

Chrome door handles

Chrome door Latches

Chrome Fuel and trunk button surround

Chrome side mirror adjuster

Centre Console overlay in Silver

Chrome rings for dash vents, heater knobs, lights switch,

Billet Aluminium Flower vase

Painted in silver metallic paint are the following:-
Plastic moulded pieces either side of the steering wheel,
Ends of the dash Grab bar,
2 pieces either side of the emergency light switch,
Covers for the pillar grab handles
Sunglass holder above rear view mirror,
Grab handle above passenger seat,
Utility holder above driver,
Gear shifter plate,

Nearly everything I've added to the car I got from either Europe, The USA or England.

I hope you like it?

I love it. Definately worth the blood, sweat and tears (oh yeah, and MONEY!!) when the trophy gets handed to you!

My pictures were so massive, I couldn't load them, so I had to take "photo's" of my photo's (if that makes sense!) so the colour and quality isn't as good as the originals - sorry!

Thanks!
Yes, I love the kit too. As soon as I saw it I had to have it.
I did lose sleep over whether to have the single oval exhaust tip (like the Caractere one) but in the end opted for the dual tips.
I suppose it makes it different to everyone elses!

That makes it look like the mini, they have dual tips in the center

Nice car, very shiny! I also love the tech wax

Gee, it does have that Mini look now you mention it I'l have to change it to something else.

Yes, it's a bit wierd seeing your steering wheel in "our" passenger seat!

Can't lower it, as it scrapes going in and out of my driveway now. Lowered would mean leaving it out on the street - no thanks.

I haven't done any performance mods yet, but will be.

Thing is, I have to buy most things from the USA, and either they don't ship to Australia, or if they do, they then take advantage and charge rediculous prices. I wanted a set of tail lights and the shiping charge was over $100US plus another $30 for doing a bank transfer (because they won't take Paypal) and then my bank slugs me another $20 for the international transaction.

It's just not fair! If I could move to the USA I would in a heartbeat, let me tell you.
You guys call up, and something is at your door sometimes the next day!
I have to wait sometimes months for things to arrive.

Here I go, having a sob...

Actually, I just got some stuff from TVA and they shipped no problem, so I am greatful for that.

Nice Bling Bug! Can't go wrong with Platinum Grey Met. paint!

Two pea shooters out back? Unique!~ This bug would look way cool if it were a little lower!

Cheers!

I know, I know it NEEDS to be lower, but I'd have to re-do my driveway for that to happen, as it scrapes the front and exhaust tips going in and out now
