I am very proud of her, and in love!!! I have been married nearly 34 years and a VW Bug Convertible has always been my "dream car" - and finally, now that I am 52 years old - I got it, I got it, I got it!!!

Is Kalamazoo close to South Haven or Holland? We have a summer place just north of South Haven. We'll have to get together. When is Holland having their car show for the old beetles?

Thank you! My folks use to live around Muskegon - Twin Lake, actually. We use to drive up there lots - my husband likes the Harley Shop in Muskegon and he and my son get up there about once a year!!

Actually, I am in the country, about 1/2 way between South Haven and Kalamazoo. I wasn't aware Holland had a car show for Old Beetles. That would be worth seeing.
We go riding (motorcycle) during the summer up and down Blue Star from South Haven to Fennville - it's a beautiful drive. Now we will have to take the convertible - so maybe you will see me buzzing by!

i would luv a convertable. very jealous and i luv the red. its the same as the car i always sit in when i take mine to vw, but ill keep dreamin'. congrats on the great car.

Well, thank you very much! I have to tell you - when I was trying to decide for sure to buy this car or not, your picture thread was a great influence.

Not only is your car beautiful, you looked so happy owning it! So thank you for 'the nudge'! Now I have a car that car that makes me that happy, too!!

Love the number plates - except over here it would read "Mumzbug!"
Glad to see another mum picking a car with personality - in the carpark at our school, it is packed with huge, boring 4WD's and large family sedans....
I know some people think I'm crazy getting a beetle, but I suspect they secretly would love one but don't see it as practical. Maybe it's not, but who cares - I'll be having fun! (Hope to collect it in around a week)

And I will admit to having convertible envy. We did look at one when I was shopping around, but it's just so darn HOT here, we want some kind of insulation up there!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! :banana2: We love for others to admire our bugs! (I think it's New Beetle Vanity). I can't imagine Florida weather, but I sure understand the need to have air conditioning and a top on your car!

I have two picture threads for my car - not quite sure how to combine them (can they be combined?)- but here's a link: Me & My New Bug!!

Today I am doing more "mods" - I am putting red vinyl in both my VW emblems as background and putting red daisy light covers on the tail lights - I cannot take those white lights inside the red very much longer!

I also want to order a New Beetle badge for the trunk... hhmmmm - then what??
