If you are using Windows XP, go to Windows Explorer (Right click Start button and choose "Explore") go to your image and right click it. In the menu you will see "Resize Pictures." Click that and choose the size you want.
Or you can download Picasa from Google, it's free and you can edit images pretty easily. ![]() Don't know the easiest way on a Mac though.

Irfanview (www.irfanview.com) is free and easy to use to resize pictures. Then upload to photobucket.
Picasa is good, but Google will sell your address and you will get tons of email - at least I did. I liked Picasa, just didn't like the strings that came with it. This may have changed - its been a few years since I used it which is when it was first released.
