Schweet! Now all you need are some big bumpers, an eyebrow for the grille (and maybe the round headlight/driving light grille), some old school BBS rims, a little drop, and some polish, and you'll be dubbin in style x2!

Nice Aaron. I was expecting less given what you told me on Saturday, but that looks like a great buy, and a great little GTI for the age/miles! Lots of fun to be had--something tells me you need to get right on that before the twins arrive...

I'm becoming such a fan of the GTI as of late. Aaron man, i so wish you or i lived closer...i'd love to help with the rebuild of a VW. I hope you end up going for that stripped engine look where it looks like there's nothing under the hood cuz that'd be sick.

Anything new going on with the Van? I was diggin that as well. Sad about the Growler, but under the circumstances you made a wise choice.

the van is regulated to family hauler status. its gonna stay pretty much the way it is now... steelies, and tint and the tvs that are in it..

this car on the other hand... the only limits are going to be my (TIGHT!!!) budget.

I would love to go for the whole less is more look on the GTI, but for now, the AC still blows cold.. why ruin a good thing?

however, I certainly am not against ripping out the power steering and the AC andmaking this thing as basic as it can be.. but for now, I just want to get it on the road and dependable for a daily driver.

the lumina just doesnt feel right after 4 years of driving VWs. too much like driving the couch or something.

woohoo!

much better than a rabbit imo.

i'd kill for a mk2 gti in any facet. i have so many ideas kicking around that i'd want to do to it though.

start by getting it going right and then get some big bumpers.

well, I would rather have had the rabbit (diesel you know).. but this actually existed and was the right price so I picked it up before someone else scooped it up.
