There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Little bit of background on the latest ride...

It's a 2-owner car, purchased from a family member. It wasn't getting used much (read: sat for a year), so I made an offer on it that they couldn't refuse and now it's mine.

It has 102,000 miles on it, and aside from needing a tuneup and snow tires, it's ready to go. All the major stuff was done at 65k when they bought the car, so I'm not due for an Inspection 2 service until 115k. I'll probably use aftermarket performance stuff to replace any failing components, but I won't be heavily modding this car like most of my previous cars.

This is a automatic car, a major departure for me if you know me well. However, my commute and the want to just relax while driving warranted the $2500 price. I'll try and get some daytime shots, but I don't get home until fairly late. It should be road-worthy for Friday, just in time for the weekend. This car will see lots of miles and smiles. I think I found a daily driver worth holding onto.

First wave of parts going on for the weekend (plugs/oil). Next wave will be adding some OEM foglights and clear corners up front, as well as replacing the rotting front exhaust pipe with a 4-1 header. After that, I'll chill out on it for a while and focus on maintenance and fixing little stuff, then hopefully by Christmas, maybe some red/clear tails and a cold-air intake.

It's so nice to not shift in traffic!

Got some lighter shots, but the light of the day was still fading away...but you can see the color a little better. It's Laguna Green metallic.

I changed the plugs and oil today...what a difference! The plugs in it were the Autolite cheapies and they were definitely showing some wear (the electrodes and tips were black and worn to almost nothing!), so the Bosch Platinum 2's I put in should make a nice difference both in economy and power delivery. Didn't drive it much tonight, but I did notice easier starting already, as well as an improvement in response.

Tomorrow I'll reset the service lights and get this car on my service terms. I'll drive it for 2500 miles with the oil I put in it (cheapass 10w30 just to get fresh oil in it), then at 105k, I'll switch to the Mobil1 10w30 EP which I'll start changing at 10k intervals. At 105k, I'll perform an Inspection 1 service and throw on some studded snow tires. Then, I'll just focus on adding little things here and there.

While under the hood did the car spit up any of those missing parts of my stock valvetrain?

I know, the cheat ate them. And too bad cheat and metwad anatomy are soo somilar. Stuff goes in, but nothing comes out, ever.
