bugger's 1970 cal-look bug

hey everybody! i'm starting a build up of an early 1970 standard beetle in the form of a retro cal-look show car. everytime i do something to get it one step closer to actually moving it out of the woods (yikes!)and into the paint booth i will try to post pictures of the resto at least every week, time permitting.i hope you like what you will see because interset in this forum will only grow the mistique of it out on the show circut. watch out ma motorworks, here i come!

1964 panel slammed and big race engine
1967 beetle drag car
1972 beetle my old one if i can find it again
fiberglass dune buggy with said engine from the 67'
the list goes on......

this morning i visited mamotorworks and the bill to get it on the road is a little over 1,006.48 excluding tires and my unfinished engine, body work, paint, interior,and suspension. i am doing everything myself including the paint job. and yes i am a painter.

after spending a little while looking for a better pic of the og color, i found this.
it is called yukon yellow paint code l19k for '66-'67 and
'69-july '70

That is Oscar's og paint color as well. Pretty neat...huh?

I don't get the 1 out of 1000. Is it 1 of 1000 pictures you will take or have taken? I don't think they only made 1000 of those beetles but I could be wrong

ok to help the viewers at home, here is what my car looks like!

well, im going to drag my car out of the woods saturday. then im going to take the fenders off and the taillight houseings are going into the blasting cabinet in a couple of days when i help get it fixed. the turn signals are going to be shaved and multitasking headlights will replace the old. the running boards and the bumpers are going into the trash and a new front clip will be cut from another on its side bug with no pan on it.then after all of that, im going to try to get it rolling on all four flat tires! fewwhhh! ill try to take some pics for every body! happy easter!!!!
