Default vwfred's 1963 resto-custom beetle "a bug's life"

thought i'd post a few pics of my 63 beetle properly named " A BUG"S LIFE". i've owned it for about 12 years now and have done very well with it. it is L-390 gulf blue with white 2 tone. white vinyl interior. 15x7 rear 15x5.5 front chromies with 205-55-15 and 135-15 tires. 1641 dual port motor with mild cam, kadron head/exhaust and kadron carbs, stock 4speed, full pioneer stereo with 4 6.5" component, 2 12" subs, 5.5" moniter with dvd player and memphis amp. flat 4 roof rack and billet running bourds. i'm sure i am forgetting a lot. hope everyone likes it!!!

Thanks for the honor of posting your bug here. One of these days i'll get me an air-cooled. I really dig the 2-tone. Gotta respect the old school for sure

Awesome looking Air Cooled! I really like the old style bugs. I like the new ones also. But the classics never go out of style. Great job.

You should really check out my page for my 67 Francis.

It was the car that John Lasseter had made and drove to the Hollywood premiere of the movie "A Bug's Life" The headliner is covered in autographs of the voice actors and the artists and has animation art drawn on it. I think that's the best part of the entire car.

Our license plate is PIXAR. The old owner had bgslife (you're really lucky to be able to have so many letters on your tag!) We have Pixar animations studios license plate frames and we've had the original leaf magnets recreated thanks to a friend at Pixar.

Welcome to Facebook | Facebook

Your beetle is awesome btw. I wish Francis was a car we were less afraid of anything happening to. We worry about his paint. We can't recreate that if anything happens. Rocks chips are a big problem for us.
