Default Scott's New Wolfie

My honey Scott's 08 Jetta Wolfsburg arrived a couple weeks ago, here are some pictures. The mods have started. He is waiting on the coilovers to come in to lower it. He had the Votex kit put on and painted salsa red to match, the new Alpine head unit is in, he is still working on the rest of the system and building a fiberglass sub box in the trunk. He is adding a neuspeed intake, new engine cover, new wheels ofcourse and so on.

We are now a 4 VW little group here. He kept his MKIII Jetta:

Ofcourse we still have UBugNMe and for now we have my daughters MKIII Jetta Celebration Edition. We are going to CT today to buy Scott's Mom's car for my daughter. The poor Jetta just is in rough shape and won't pass inspection. Not sure what I am going to do with it. One of Scott's friends wants her for the engine, it has about 80,000 on it, I hate to part with her, but I may just sell her as parts. My daughter is a bit sad about not have a VW any more, but I told her to save up and show that she really wants another VW (we have been planning on parking the Jetta since last fall, she has had plenty of time to save and add to what I am fronting).

Nice addition

Your daughters MKIII is too cool of a car to part out. I'm sure someone would love to buy it and restore that baby. If your daughter had the time, it would be a great project to restore. She'll learn so much more on the VW experience, and maybe even have a show car in the end.

I might just hang on to it until I have the money to do something with it. Maybe it can become my winter car, after I get it to a point where it can pass inspection. Then my baby can be garaged in the winter.

The wheels are stock and they look good, but Scott doesn't go stock for long. It didn't even come off the lot stock, the Votex kit was on it before he even saw the Wolfie. He will make the car exactly what he wants. I am just glad he got it, he skipped show season last year because he never put the MKIII back to show mode and has been talking for over a year about getting something new. When he saw the 08 Wolfie's coming out he knew it was what he wanted. He hasn't stopped smiling yet. Kind of like me and my baby, she came to live with me in February 04 and she still makes me smile.

The MKIII Celebration Edition Jetta is sitting next to the garage. Not sure what I am doing with the old girl yet. She is pretty rough, pretty rusted underneath. She is registered until November so I have some time to think about it.

Here are some new pics of Wolfie with my baby lurking in the background. You can also see the Mulberry MKIII next to the garage. Someone local may be interested in buying her and fixing her up, going to talk numbers with him Tuesday.

My baby won't be shown up, she is reflected in the side of the Wolfie

Here are some updates on the mods to the Wolfie...

Custom Ipod adapter

Inner trim pieces are painted to match

New grill....he is still deciding exactly how he wants it painted.

He is thinking something like this pshop

The coil overs should be here Thursday so he can get low finally....the plans right now is the morning of the 4th him and a couple friends will be installing them.

He is trying to get as much done before Waterfest as possible.

The mulberry Jetta has been sold....it was rusted out worse then I thought underneath and I decided not to put the money into it.
