thorgipsy's '73 Transporter
The only surviving picture of my '73 Transporter, 1.6L Type III engine, external oil cooler, Monza exhaust, two sliding doors, originally imported from the Virgin Islands. The "Snow Leopard" is greatly missed.

The original faded pastel blue paint would rub off on my clothes whenever I leaned against it, so I started to paint it one day and...well, this is the result.

I love your Transporter! My very favorite vehicle I ever owned was a 79 Transporter, it was orange and beige, with a pancake motor in it. I owned it twice and put well over 100k on it. Talk about memories

After some digging around, I found a few more pics of the Snow Leopard.
  I still have the original operators manual, stamped with its origin in St.Thomas, Virgin Islands.
