Well, I did it, sadly. But also gladly. I traded my beloved Turbo S in for this 2005 Touareg. It was not an easy decision, but I need a larger vehicle. I am now a single homeowner, and need to haul things sometimes, and also need a car that will get me to my essential job in the winter.

Campanella White, V6, beige leather, dual climate zones, heated seats, lots of things I will discover as time goes on.

I am crazy about White, and when I saw this newly traded in Touareg, with 32K miles, I was smitten. This does not, I repeat NOT, make me miss a New Beetle, but I am able to drive the 'vert sometimes, and I also have many NB friends (you know who you are) who will let me drive theirs, right?

Here he/she is.

Huh? The Beetle is great for hauling stuff around! It's my primary car and gets me everywhere I need to go!

I'm really surprised you traded the Beetle for a Toureg! What does that thing get for gas mileage?

Enjoy the new ride. Looks really sharp!

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

OMG! Deb! I never thought you'd get rid of your S. That is one sweet ride though. You'll love sitting up real high.

I was actually worried about how you would react, Justin.

Thanks for not hating me.

More pics tomorrow.

Deb - where's my twin???

The Taureg looks hot though - and I agree that you need something bigger after seeing those dishwasher pics... You can always go back to the Beetle as either a 2nd car for yourself, or once most of the hauling is done...

Congrats on your new ride, she looks clean. I am a single homeowner too, I understand how hard it is to get things hauled home, but I can usually find someone to come with me that has a truck. Many happy miles in your new ride.

I hear you. But I do not want to have to rely on anyone, ya know?

After not being able to find anyone to pick up the diswasher, (that WAS impressive! ) and last weekend, not being able to go to IKEA and get the bookcase I wanted, I really had the itch for something that I would not have to say "I can't get this, because I can't get it in my car".

I could have gone with a much cheaper truck, but I went with a luxurious Volkswagen. Not only will it suit my needs, but I will also feel pampered at the same time.

More pics later.

I'm speechless Deb!

Congrat's on the great choice! I want a ride next time I get down there!

I totally understand the hauling thing. That is the main reason we don't have 2 NB's. My Ranger is WAY too handy for moving things around. But it's been paid off for 1 1/2 years, and I'm tired of it. I commute to work via bicycle, so it's sitting more than ever.

Nice choice Deb!

OOh!! Congarats on the new, B-E-A-U-tiful ride, Deb!

I so want one when the DeMaio clan starts to grow
There's no way, although I know it can be done, that I'm hauling strollers and cramming baby seats in the back of my Beetle. If she's paid off by that time, I'll keep her but that will be for rides in the car without any kiddies I've wanted one for a while now and that's the color I want, too!!

Congrats, again, Deb! Best of luck!!

I was telling Deb she needs to trick it out like this....

She said "Oh, Hell no!"

But they are sweet that way!

The R50 is also hot...
