You know I kid you mang. Much love to you brotha

One Ford I would love to have is a DeTomaso Pantera. There is one for sale a couple hours south of us. Redone, frame up. I'd so love to have one of those. Wouldn't mind having one of the early year 2-door falcons either.

I was tempted to try one on for size only I wanted a vert. Then I talked to a tow truck driver while he was towing chip for the fuel pump disaster. He says he tows tons of them. Something about the engine being the same as a crown vic only mounted sideways. No problems with the C V's just the tangs. Burst my bubble for sure Have fun with it TJ.I know I would

The engine you are referring to is the 4.6 liter V8....probably not the same 4.6 motor either. Crown Vics don't have 6 cyl motors. The Mustang is rear wheel drive, so the engine should not be mounted sideways. The 6 cyl actually gets good reviews as the base engine in the Mustang when equipped with a manual tranny.

And it gets decent reviews for the auto as well. It's one of Ford's dependable engines, from what I have heard.

I got something for it today, but I have to wait to later tonight to put the pics up.

I'm just repeating what he told me. I could have misunderstood him as I was a little edgy about sitting on the side of the road for 3 f ing hours

Aww, I love that color. I wanted to get an orange one when I got my 07 Mustang...but the husband wasn't having any of that and got vista blue.

I was getting 21.8 mpg in my mustang tonight. I like it to drive sometimes. But I use my 08 Mini as my daily driver because it gets 40 mpg.

Congrats! The mustangs are fun to drive. And having not driven it for awhile it seemed really roomy compared to the Mini.
Hope you have fun with yours! And don't get any tickets like I did.

I have said it a lot since Monday: GPS is the crack cocaine of car systems now. When you get used to it, you just can’t give it up.
So I got this:

Kenwood DNX-5120
In-dash Navigation System
The Kenwood DNX-5120 is a full-featured Entertainment system with built-in Garmin navigation and USB Direct Control for iPods or other portable music devices.

The Kenwood DNX-5120 is a full-featured Entertainment and Navigation system with USB Direct Control for iPods or other portable music devices. With built-in Garmin navigation technology, the DNX5120 has maps of the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico and includes over 6 million Points of Interest. This all-in-one unit also features a 6.1" LCD touchscreen with a user-programmable start-up, variable-color illumination of the front panel controls, and two RCA 2V Preouts for system expansion.

* 6.1" Touchscreen
* Built-in Garmin Navigation Board with USA, Canada, PR, Alaska and Hawaii Mapping
* Fits Double-DIN (4" tall) Dashes
* Live traffic and weather data available (optional TMC receiver not included)
* Plays DVD, DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW, CD, CD-R/RW, and MP3/WMA/AAC files on disc
* Advanced GUI with Variable Illumination and Customizable Start-up
* USB Direct Control
* Fastest Access to iPod Audio/Video with High-Speed iPod Control
* 2 2V RCA Preouts (F,R/Sub)
* Front Aux Input
* Satellite Radio Ready, HD Radio Ready and Bluetooth Ready
* 3-band EQ with six preset tone curves
* Inputs: USB input, front-panel A/V input, rear-view camera input
* Outputs: 4-channel preamp outputs (front, rear), A/V output
* Compatible with most factory steering wheel audio controls (adapter required)
*Cool lights that can be set to many colors, or rotate through them

I had my XM moved to this vehicle as well. And the iPod hook up is the bomb. You see everything your iPod has, right there on the screen, album art and everything. And the DVD video is top notch. It’s even got dts sound. Because Nick somehow ‘forgot’ to wire a certain wire to the handbrake, passengers can watch video while driving down the road. And my passenger, if so inclined, can navigate for me, by entering data, finding things...It’s quite neat.

Here are some late night, pics, that show the system, and a movie. Notice in one of the shots, (from the iPod), if you can, a PRIUS. And what movie is that, and what scene, campers? A NO PRIZE to the first one who guesses correctly!

I'm telling ya, Shannon, that once you get on the needle, the needle owns you. I'm serious. I grew up with the fold up maps, that you never could fold correctly again, then the great map books came out, with the spiral binding...now, GPS is here. And once you get it, you just wonder how you ever drove around before without it.

So if you can avoid the crack, do it.
