Default My new Honda.

So here it is. Haven't decided if it's a male or female yet haha. Here is everything I know about it:

1994 Honda Civic DX 3dr Hatchback
New timing Belt
New head gasket
New muffler
New Catalytic Converter
1.5 liter 4cyl with fresh air intake, otherwise stock
New white paint with blue interior
All stock, not crazy mods or anything
New Pioneer stereo but stock speakers *sad*
5spd manual
No power steering, door locks or windows haha
But for some reason this car is a BLAST to drive, I'm pretty happy with it.

My first car was a 94 Geo Metro 1.0 2DR hatchback. I loved driving it. I bet that Honda would be like my Geo on steroids. Cool car, and I bet it's awesome on gas!

hmmm, a stock eg hatch? nice find, though the 1.5 is known for blowing the head gasket. i'd start saving for a 1.6 vtec head and do a mini-me.

just so you know, taillights are the same whether it's the coupe, hatch, or sedan, so if you see something that looks good, yes, it'll fit.

integra brakes are a common (and necessary!) upgrade as the puny 9.1s can't haul it down reliably from 80+. as well, putting in an ex gauge cluster is common too, for tips on how to swap speedos, pm me.

i owned a pretty modified civic hatch back in the day as a track car, and it was a blast. got 30mpg to and from the track, and 7 on it.

my mod list suggestion (should you choose to):

--integra brakes! (any 94-01 will do except the r-type)
--clear corners
--red/clear factory look tails
--ex gauge cluster swap
--kyb agx shocks/struts with integra gs-r springs

the 1.5 is anemic no matter what you do, so your best hope is the tranny grenades and swap to the shorter ratios of the 92-94 ex coupe. you think it's fun now, imagine it accelerating 30% faster. once the tranny has been swapped, you might see some benefit from a freer-flowing exhaust (dc sounds the best and looks the least jdm) as well as an aem cold-air intake.

my civic was a 1.5 bottom end beefed up with wiseco pistons, scat rods, and a block girdle from the 1.6. the head was just a stock 1.6 vtec head with a skunk2 cam. computer tuning was done by a friend, i still have the chip if you're interested. oh yeah, it had a sinus problem too. managed to get a hair under 160whp on the dyno, but in a car that weighs 1900lbs sopping wet, that's a good time.

one GREAT thing: it's not a CX. now THAT was a slow car. 70hp and 8v of raging terror.
