Oo... love your Ranger!

I miss mine

I had a 1999 Ranger and most of the changes I did were in the audio system.

I used a Dremel tool and removed the cd pocket from the stereo kit, and installed an equalizer to better control my system.

Then, my buddy David and I worked for a couple days and built a custom sub box for my Pioneer TSW-350F's.
The box was two sealed chambers and fit over the transmission hump and was held in place to the body of the truck with all-thread in stock bolt locations.
Thing sounded *sweet*.

I think someday I will buy another Ranger and mess around with it. But I want it to be like the Edge. Those are so much slicker looking on the outside!

Keep up the good work man!

How hard was it to install the overhead console? I'd like to do that in my 05 Ranger XL.

Not hard at all. Just cu your hole small and cut as you need to for the bracket to fit.

This kind of info just makes me mad. Here in the states we can't get the small diesels offered elsewhere in the Ranger/Mazda equivalent or in the Chevy/GMC Colorado/Canyon. We have the rebadged Mazdas here too, but the engine choices are all gasoline power. I have a Silverado, but really want a Colorado w/ a 4 cyl. diesel, so why can't I have one GM?

This won't make you any happier-out here there are petrol no motors available at all. They offer a 2.5Lt Turbo Diesel option in the base models-but the more up market models only get the 3Lt.The 3Lt puts out about 150HP with heaps of torque and mine averages around 25MPG with the 5 speed auto.If you have rebadged Mazdas as well-they must be the same sized bodies as ours then-those in the pics looked slightly larger than ours. Not the best pics.
