Thanks everyone!
![]() I was thinking of putting the wheels off the Porsche on the cabby. They are 14" insted of 13", but I'm not sure about the offset though. If that doesn't work I'll keep my eye out for some "cheapies" off of craigslist or something. I hoping next weekend to get the interior cleaning started. I had read that a magic eraser and a damp rag will work wonders for the dirty interior. I hit a couple spots on the seats with super clean, but I'm afraid that might be to harsh for the aging material. I did also hear that simple green should be effective to though. |

Score today!
Called a local junk yard to see if they had a back window for the cabby. The guy said "yeah I believe we got one of them". So I scurried down there hoping for the best. I check out the car, and it was a 92 with the GTI grille. SWEET! So I nabbed the grille/lights, the back window, and the tail light holders. I'll get some pics up once the grill lights are installed. The cool thing is They cut the whole window assembly out of the donor, so I got the frame and a good seal. Now I just have to figure out how to get the window out of the frame without trashing the seal. |

Thanks!
So as promised here are a couple shots of the newish window and the new grille. I have to go back this week coming up to pick up the lights and other stuff for the grille. The install wasn't to bad of a job for one person. It would have been nice to have a helper though. ![]() ![]() |
