I know I said that I wasn't going to add anything to my car before paying it off but I think this just plain smart to have in your car for personal use or to help out another motorist.

Picked it up at Wal-Mart for $18

Kidde Auo/Marine Class 10-B:C 2lb 12oz fire extinguisher

I'm going to mount it in my trunk area to the side.

Amazingly it turned out to be a wonderful day 61+ degrees, sunny.

Got a chance to do a quick wash job on Keira and hit the road. Here is a shot of her at the park, my GF and I went walking with the dog.

I freaking love driving this car with the windows down, sunroof open, and the sound of the turbo spinning.

I finally got around to doing a few little much needed mods

Installed some 42 Draft Designs clear sidemarker lights and a OEM sharon style stubby antenna, yeah the antenna I've been talking about for a year, heh.

Tomorrow I will be making my way to the local tint shop in which I have an appointment for at 9am. And hopefully next month my car will see a Koni FSD with H&R Sport spring kit, and or a H&R Coilover kit. to be decided which method I will go with.

I will have better pictures tomorrow and also I need to really update my 1st post it's a bit old.

Been doing the work thing, and the spending time with my GF, we just had our 1 year anniversary and more to come

I finally stopped pouring money into my other hobbies and started to do something with this car. I was going to wait a bit until I got it paid off or closer to paying it off but what the heck.

I'm pretty undecided on what suspension setup I am leaning towards, the Golf/GTI is a tough one to do because a lot of your spring/strut combos and or just springs (on stock struts) will cause the backend to still stick up in the air because of the weight difference between the other VW models, the same spring on a Jetta and a Golf will be perfect level stance on a Jetta but nose down in a GTI.

Thus making me lean towards something like a Koni or H&R coilover for getting the perfect stance.

I would like to just go with something like an H&R Sport spring on a Koni Yellow or FSD strut but it will run in to the stance problem.

Fully adjustable coilovers is the only way to eliminate that issue.

Good to see you posting again Kev

Well everyone, I have a big announcement..

Keira is gone.. Yeah.. I traded her in today for a 2010 Honda Fit Sport with 5-Speed Manual. The car will be and won't be missed. It started giving me a lot of non crash related trouble, and I just didn't feel like wasting 3 more years of my life spending money on a car that probably won't be worth anything to me or anyone else in that time frame.. Plus I wanted something a little more practical, the GTI is one fun car and the turbo will be missed but I will start new adventures with the Fit.. I am hopefully taking delivery of it on Monday since I had to order one in silver with a MT.. With that being said I probably won't be seen much if at all around the VW scene.. It's been great talking to a lot of you, some of you I will still probably see on Facebook.

Take care everyone

Kevin
