i'm now starting to work on her again so don't be if you see things for sale to fund my project. (wife will not approve of any more spending on car stuff . that's what she calls it.)i call it man toys. So here is a few pics of our cars

WOW.... who knew. My man that '70 looks pretty straight. What all have you done so far and what's needed to finish it? I can understanding selling a few things to finish that gem. You should start a thread on the rebuild of your '70 vert. Impressive.

And the wife's driver is okay too..... it ain't no beetle

Thats what I love about the air-cooled bugs. They're great project cars and fairly easy to work on. A good way to sharpen your DIY skills.

Don't forget- take pics of your step by step progress.

Nice project vert you got there.
But, it's a '71 or later Super Beetle not a '70.
You see, '71 was the first year of the super beetle that also introduced MacPherson front strut suspension which is what you have on your vert. Also, the nose and hood are longer than the standard beetle as well. Another way to confirm is to look at how the spare tire fits in the trunk. It should lay down flat in the super beetle and not slid into the front apron like the standard beetle.
Anywho, just thought you'd like to know.
