I had a friend long ago that did that, rock crawling.
 For me, it is a "spectator" sport......

I have literally had to pull all carpet, pop drain plugs and hose the thing out. It has been almost a year since I was in a mud hole and to this day I can turn on the AC and it will spit mud clods at me.

Man, that would be a fun toy to have! If I wasn't able to get the beetle, my second choice was going to be a jeep wrangler. I would love to take it muddin' or rock climbing! Though rock climbing is a bit scarier....
