Well I am prolly pushing about 185 to 195 hp with my Jim Wolf Tecnologies Ballence shaft removal kit and cold air intake, and I know that the Turbo S has the same stock horse power so I would imagine it would be pretty close but no I havent had any bettles challenge me. LOL I have smashed on an 80s porche and numerus civics, accords integras. I have more fun fooling around with the ones I know will whoop on me Lotus, Audis and bimmers. There aint many bettles that race around here lol mainly just college age girls drive the 2.Slows and 1.8t.

OK so I got the rally lights installed. I oppeted for a higher mounting then what I was thinking befor. Next on the list, figure out a new grille situation since the lights are exactly where the grille sits gunna take a lot of gutting. Might just buy a new one to hack up because the one I got has seen better days. Then I plan on buying some original head light housings and OEM fogs ugh so much work but it will be worth it in the end.

Ok so I have ordered a new stock grille I should be getting it sometime next week, then i will be compleatly gutting it and meshing it to look kinda like this

but I will be pushing the mesh as far back into the grille frame as possible. So the center tooth will also be eliminated as well then i will feed the wires to the lights straight through the mesh. and I will compleatly paint it or PlastiDip it for a lil more durablility.

Also plans for getting original headlight housings are in the works

I am also playing around with this front lip

its from a Sentra GXE

Also always keeping an eye out for a good deal on oem foglights

And I am getting closer to the spare money for doing a Di Noc (www.carbonfiberfilm.com) aplication to the center console

a black roof in the future is starting to roll around in my head as well

lol ideas are flowing!

Ok so I got the grille. first step gut! and begin fine tuneing!(mini hack saw, nice dremel tool with many cutting disks and sanding wheels)

another step i am goin to have to do is epoxy this piece of plastic in as shown (view from back bottom) the center tooth will be gone and this will be to continue the base of the grill all the way back. Its kinda hard to explane but in future updates it will make sense

also I got some nice black mesh in the mail so this is gunna look nice!!!

Looking good. My wife had a Sentra about a decade ago.
I really like the Altima coupe in a V6 and it's counterpart (I think?) the Infiniti G37 and G37 roadster.
I saw a new black G37 'vert that looked absolutely beautiful a few weeks ago! Awesome car with rear lip spoiler.

Ok so here is somemore updates on this way over thought grille

After I got the main grid pieces cut out and shaved all the little bits of unattractive plastic off the outer frame I attached a piece of lexan (I would have used a sheet of ABS plastic but couldnt find a place that was selling it when I was out buying the supplies but this should work fine) useing some plastic bonding epoxy to the area around the hood latch notch, for strengthening at the weak point and then cleaned up all the nasty goops from the epoxy

Next I took the insert that I made to fit behind the bottom gap behind the tooth and took the epoxy to it agiain and attached to a piece of mesh I had laying around. dont ask me what its for( i bought a roll of it a long time ago from Home Depot) and then I epoxyed it to the grill frame

I will be putting another layer of epoxy across the entire layer the insert/mesh to get it all covered for more strength

Here is the mesh I got of ebay for 30 bucks (painted expanded steel)

This is what the frame looks like all around from shaving and cutting and mistakes

Next will be more cleaning up edges, getting ready for mesh, resurfaceing the whole frame with lots of bondo and sanding, painting, attaching mesh, and then fitment

NOTE: Plastic Bonding Epoxy very easly stinks up very small studio apartment! LOL thank god I have a girl that just accepts that I am crazy! ( Reasons I am crazy according to her; Bought a brand new grill just so I can take a saw and dremel tool to it and use maybe 10% of the oringial form of the grill, epoxy in side the apartment and hopeing that over head fan above the oven and the exhaust fan in the bath room would be enough to ventelate the epoxy smell... still took about a day to get rid of the smell)

Okay so here is the latest news on my car situation. I still have this car I will be selling it in March or April. I will sell it and then be buying my fiance's 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier (lol I know no personality) just as a daily driver its reliable and cheap as dirt to run and maintain unlike this Sentra that requires premium gas and SIX quart of synthetic motor oil that throws an engine light if you don't change it at exactly 3000 miles. I will be then beginning my project vehicle. I finally got approval form my dad that I can take his Chevrolet Suburban of his hands. YAY I am so excited to get my first car love as my own! I have found a forum I will begin posting updates on this project here is a link to my opening build thread

My family's Chevy Suburban - PerformanceTrucks.net Forums

I still love you guys, you are the greatest group of people and from my first experiences with this new forum they have a pretty friendly environment as well. Unlike my experiences with the Sentra forum which I have grown to hate. Also I have had no connection with the Sentra it isn't a member of my family it is just a car. I miss that feeling I had with the beetle and I should get that feeling back with the 'burb considering I have grown up with that beast. I will keep you guys posted in the future when I pick it up. Its going to be a nice little road trip. Fly to Texas drive back to Washington State. I am super excited to have my old buddy back.

Lol on a side note I just realized I will be owning two Chevys lol I might be becomeing a little bit of a red neck.

Lots of gas money in your future.

I like the 'burbans though. Don't think i'd own one- i'd get it's chopped off version in the Avalanche, but that's just me
