there was a reason i wanted to get this motor in asap, and that was i needed it broken in by the 11th just in case i needed to hit extra-legal speeds.
the second was that our air compressor trailer died, and we needed a motor stat for it. industrial straight (not slant) chrysler 6 motors aren't as easy to find as once before.
my dad had a great idea in using a 2.0 vw motor, and so i proposed the idea of my old motor and head. how it works is this: two cylinders fire, the other two produce enough air to power air tools and fill the 15gallon tanks. it will use a very simple ignition system (megasquirt), and run at a comstant 2350 rpm, with the option for higher rpm's for increased pressure.
is it weird that i am more proud of the trailer than i am of the motor biild right now?
