Well here he is. Not detailed. Full of bugs but fun as heck! Tons of room. My Dad is 6 ft and 250 and had loads of shoulder and leg room. Not the best place for photo's but I have one picked out and will get better ones soon.

I think those "older" ones are the best looking. Very nice, I love the MINI!

Now, dare I ask? Chip?

Looking good, Ellen! I'm diggin' the different colored roof! I kinda wish my roof was a gun-metal gray color. I'm getting ready to go get the oil changed in mine.

I think she said in another thread that her husband is driving Chip these days.

I went to MINI & had mine done. $60 and ONLY USE SYNTHETIC!!!!Otherwise oops there goes your engine! They take your key & pop it in this donut thing and up pops all your info on their screen. The whole service history, how many miles you have etc. I just hope it doesn't tell them how fast I was driving Very cool.

Yeah, the BMW dealership here does the key thing too. Its neat! The previous owner gave me a case of full-synthetic Mini oil so I went by the Mini dealership while I was in Nashville last week and picked up a filter for $10. A friend of my dad's has a garage and he changed my oil for $5. If I had a closer Mini dealership, I'd gladly pay $60 for an oil change just to keep it 'dealer serviced'. Our cars hold 5.1 qts...I dunno why they don't just make the oil pan a TAD smaller so it would hold 5 even.

that .1 ain't gonna kill ya.

do what i would do, 5 quarts, and put 3oz of an oil treatment in there. the jetta now takes 5.1 with the bigger passat filter, so i just do 5 quarts and a touch of honey. works well, and you can always find a use for motor honey (a favorite is on door handles because it gets really sticky).

What kind of fuel mileage are you getting out of yours? I'm seeing 28-29 as I 'baby' it. Not as good as I had expected but nothing to complain about either. I guess I'll see tomorrow night how it does on strictly interstate driving.

I think my tires being under-inflated might be the main reason for my lack of MPGs. I checked them tonight and they were all under 30 and the sticker in the door says they should all be inflated to 35psi. I've not driven it yet since inflating the tires, but the same thing happened in my C230 (still holding on to it) and my MPGs increased 2-3 MPGs.

First long haul trip starts in 24 hours!

Well, I drove him in the snow. He seems to handle ok. I had some rear end slide going on. I was going to put a bag of sand in the trunk but I'm afraid it would raise the front end and I'd loose some tracktion there. It was all city driving so we'll see about highway another time. I might have to use Dad's Vue since he's not driving anywhere soon.
