Saying goodbye to an old friend

Said aloha to our unnamed Volvo 240 Wagon yesterday morning.

we owned the wagon for seventeen + years, and picked it up in Gothenburg at the factory (wish i could find the pics of that trip).

Anyway, 249K miles of excellent service, and the Volvo is now with her new family...an .Orger i am certain will give her a good home.

Take good care of my baby! I was just saying to my (new!) husband the other day that I wish I could buy the same car, but brand new. The new Volvos just don't have the same awesome visibility, turning radius, gas mileage, and storage space of my old brick.

thank you---Linds was her primary driver after buying our NB in 2001...she did a great job keeping her going strong the last 3+ years in Wisconsin and California. the drive from San Francisco to Virginia in March was flawless...averaged 30 mpg.

My words exactly! Dude!!! that is one sweet looking Volvo. They're hard to put down and safe as all get out!
