Default What I owned prior to my NB...

These are pictures of my 1970 Pontiac Firebird Esprit.

Sadly it's not in my stable anymore. But I did find a good home for it. It was just more of a money pit than I could handle at the time.

No air condition, constant body/paint issues. Interior age issues etc. etc.
Lack of time and money...
I am sure some folks can understand that.

WOW! Too bad you couldn't hold on to that gem. That is a great project to restore. Then there's the time and money factor and storage. Ah, so many desires... so little resources. Thanks for sharing the pics!

When I was a kid my grandpa had a '70 Pontiac Lemans. I was still a bit young w/ no money when they sold their property and etc. moving into a small apt. in town. I wanted that car so bad--never told a soul until now. It was black and had a similar nose and profile to your former Firebird. Found a pic of what it looked like--had the factory wheels, etc. of course. I remember my grandpa taking me to breakfast one morning doing a burn-out for fun! Wheeeeeeee.......

Wow those are some nice rides. Yeah I really didn't want the pontiac to go. I had some good plans for it. I really like the Model A Touring? Am I close? I have a hard time identifying the old classics sometimes.

wawalker- Yeah those were some running machines. Of course the GTO got all the glory but there was nothing wrong with the Lemans as far as I am concerned. It was a counterpart to mine.

Gto-Lemans

Trans Am - Firebird

Both were good cars some just always got the glory because of a name.

It is a 1931 Model A Fordor. The other one is a 1984 Mustang GT350 20th Anniversary edition. The one I don't have any pictures of the one I wish I would of kept. It was a 1967 Subeam Tiger...

I've always been a Ford or German car person

There are more pictures of these in my photo albums.

One day I'll shoot some of "Herbie Jr." and post them.

Another car of mine that I am trying to find a picture of somewhere that I will have to scan is my 1977 Volkswagen Rabbit "Champagne" edition. It was a gold/beige color outside with maroon interior that was velour. I remember my grandparents bought it and it had a Audi Fox on the steering wheel. I inherited it and drove it to high school.

Anyone remember these cars? My parents also had a VW Dasher...don't remember what year it was but they got it during the gas crunch in the 70's.

Hopefully I can find some pics of both of them.
