I couldnt live with myself knowing that the control arms where rotting away because of that honda cancer (rust) so I ordered new ones. I think that Germanautoparts.com should be a site sponsor or something, they have helped me with parts for not only the rabbit but also for my new beetle.

GAP is pretty great with Mk1 parts. We've gotten a number of things from them that we couldn't find anywhere else.

Got a lot of work done on the Mk1 this weekend

I will Hopefully be posting up some new pics this weekend after I do some junkyard scavenging for 3 "new" door handles and some other odds and ends. Good thing I know where there is an '82 4 door gas rabbit, lol.

ok, I am officailly a lazy bum. Instead of working on both of my v's this weekend as planned I just sat around the house and ended up buying two motorcycles. One for $200 (yes it runs and drives, I test rode it before buying it) and another for 2k. pics will be up soon.

I am sad to report that I am getting rid of the "rabbid rabbit"..... for a 71 super beetle. I am trading my rabbit to a friend #1 in car group (now #1) and he is giving $700 to friend #2 and #2 is giving me his super beetle and all the parts to make a complete running car. It is a win, win, win situation.

the guy that I am "selling" it to is going to drive it all winter (poor sap) and it is going to be his project car for next summer so it will live on. I wil try to get pics up when he starts the project, that is if I can ever find my darn camera.

Only 700 for a running ac beetle, thats soooo cheap! Enjoy it, i had a blast with the old 70 semi-automatic beetle i had a few years back.

ya it is basically the deal of a life time, the guy said if he put it all together he would want at least 2k for it but because he has no ambition/want to to that I get it all for 700. Now all I have to do is put it together myself.

VWVortex.com - How about the official Madison thread?!?

70, that link has abotu 3 pics of the beetle in past and current condition. not that I am getting all of the parts to complete this car including all NEW rubber trim.

I know this thread is supossed to be aobut my rabbit, but untill titles are signed over, I am not starting a new thread.
