It is so fun to ride... drove her 260 miles the other day, all the way to Bakersfield and back, got 23 mpg... no a/c, no power, just old school... mileage is to the moon and back, all numbers match, except motor, it has a 230S from a 69, compression was 161 all across except no 3 at 158. No smoke, dual solex carbs. Have the original Becker AM radio working for my radio talk shows and this in the trunk, plus 2 6x9's in the back tray. Had a nice Infinity Basslink, but the trunk was so tight, there was no bass in the cabin. Cut a 10x10 whole between the 6x9's but still was suffering. Once I got out of the car, it was like a war back there... Just got this 12" and it is all better now. Best thing is my ipod is connected via RCA cables straight on to the amp with an on/off switch under the dash to separate the Am from the sound system. Very low key, all under $300, all parts were left overs through the years.. Whole trunk will be covered in red leather sometime this fall.
