Still no booth luck yet. There are a few car shows going on around here in the next couple of weeks. I'm thinking of trailering the car to the shows with a sign hanging on it letting everyone know that I need a booth to rent. I think that may be my best chance.

I finally think I found a booth to shoot in! Also, i got rid of the other set of wheels and tires I had on the car. I didn't want to go to a show and see the same wheels on 7 different cars. So I got these to put on with the help of Lenny at motorsport-tech.com who is making me the custom adapters. Kind of a Euro touch to the American muscle.
Yes, I know it's a 4 door, but I think 4 doors can be just as cool as 2.....plus I have 2 kids in car seats so cruising will be that much easier! I will apologize now for pic quality.....or lack of.

Wow Rick, just Wow. That's coming together VERY nicely! And those wheels and tires look *awesome*!

I can't wait to see this finished! I'll be looking around here soon to find someone to pain my van too. Will you be driving your car on the freeway when it's finished or will it be a trailer-queen?

Thanks for the compliment! As far as the trailer queen comment, the only time this car will see a trailer is to the paint booth and back! I built it to drive!

So the tire in the pictures above had too much sidewall, plus it bulged too much and didn't let me get as flush as I wanted with the 1/4 panel. They were 275/45/18, so I went with a 255/45/18 and they fit like a glove now. New tires pic.

Your Custom is looking great! Keeping an eye out for an old Buick wildcat 400 if I can find it. Had one about 20 yes ago and it was one sweet cruiser .

Thanks! I can't wait to get it on the road!
I was going to say I would keep an eye out for a Wildcat, but it would be a little far you to travel to pick it up

Again with the high quality pics I made some custom clear lenses with some red led's to light em up. I still have a little work to do on them, and thinking I might do a slight tint to them? Clear Lexan backed by clear diffuser, you could smack these with a hammer and not break. I'm not so sure I like the diffuser panel, so I might have to change that......

I don't mind the diffuser panel and it would look even better tinted IMHO.

So I went with a pre-tinted plexiglass with the diffuser and here's the result...
