What does mk4 mean?

How do you identify your engine? like AEG or AEZ whatever they are?

Does anyone have pictures of the temp sensors, I've asked a million questions on them and still can't find them. Want to make sure they are definitely them before I go moving stuff around.

I want to supercharge, but not sure if it's worth it, 2.0 2001 auto 96k miles, put the neuspeed intake in, and im looking into getting an exhaust this week. Think I should go all the way?

Give me cool ideas for styling mods. I have a yellow beetle, the nice sunshine, daisy yellow, not mac n cheese yellow. Any ideas on what would look cool, as opposed to too girly. Not that I have a problem with that, but my girlfriend got into cars cause of me and she wants me to make it look awesome, and I don't wanna let her down. Please help.

Wow, those really were random, thanks for taking the time to help a dum dum, very appreciated.

I'm also thinking of supercharging a 2.0L auto but I'm not sure if the auto box will be able to handle the power

MK4 stands for Mark 4. It's the platform.

MK1 was the original Rabbit. Mk2 was the first Golf we had. In all other countries, the Rabbit was actually the Golf. So our Golf, was really the second generation Golf, next generation of the original Rabbit.

So our Beetles are built on the MK4 platform, which is the same as the 4th generation Golf. The newer rabbit is the MK5, as in fifth generation. And the new Golf / GTI just hitting the states is the MKVI.

The engine code is just that. It's a code for your specific engine. Each engine has a different code. For instance, the original 1.8t in the Beetle was the APH. In 2001.5, VW made some changes, and the engine code for that 1.8t engine is AWV.
