Cool

I've never changed mine so I don't know if it's even possible but if you could have reversed the wires on the re-install, then it would make sense that the fan would come on always when the ignition is in the on position (you would have a complete circuit all the time rather then when the sensor is triggered by coolant temperature)...

you know the weird part is that I didnt' even touch anything that had to do with the fans other than taking out the battery for the install but that's it, its really weird

Yes, but the sensor you replaced governs whether the cooling fans come on or not, so by wiring the sensor connections backwards you are inadvertantly completing that circuit. Again, I've never done this op but it sounds logical. Let us know...

Did you bleed the system? The temp switch is the highest point in the system, and by unthreading it and letting it burp untill liquid comes out, will get rid of trapped air. It sounds as if you may have a bad switch, as you can't reverse the wireing on a one way plug, unless you cut some wires in the process? Earl

hey guys just as I was driving to the gym I got a check engine light, so I'll be heading out to autozone and check it out tomorrow morning, on the fan deal its really weird tell you why, because the temp sensor that I installed for my steward warner gauge has nothing to do with anything from the fans, other than that fact that I lost a little coolant when I was installing the adaptor, its really weird hopefully I can figure it out tomorrow cuz its really load when you turn the car on.... any ideas let me know thanks
