Cup Holder & Noise when opening driver's door

I recently purchased a 2001 Techno Blue Beetle and have a couple of questions:

1. The cup holder appears to be missing for the rear seats. (The one located just behind and attached to the center arm rest / console) Where do I find a replacement and what is this piece called exactly?

2. In the morning (that's when I hear it anyway) when I open up my driver's side door I hear a little motor noise. Does anyone know what this is? Is it a stabilizing system that adjusts the level of the vehicle from the ground perhaps??? Please advise.

The answer to #2 is the fuel pump. When you open the door the pump activates so the engine will start right up when you hit the key.
