Default Instrument Cluster - Again!

Well - I have a 2001 NB that had to have a new instrument cluster installed in August of 2004. Today - after a series of starting issues with the car (likely battery or alternator) - the gas pointer is doing wonky things and settling outside of range, at the bottom of its circle. Has anyone had to replace a second cluster in two years (approx. 50K added between timing)?? I'm not looking forward to spending another $750!

Help!

Thanks ... looks like it was tied to a low battery - new battery and the gas meter is working fine again. Phew!
