Default Wheel emblem came off

As was cleaning my wheels last weekend, on of the VW emblems poped off from the centercap. Better at home than while driving, but now I need to get it back on.

I have the standard VW alloy wheels with the plastic centercap.

What would be the best adhesive to re-mount the emblem.

Thanks
Ed

heh - i'm on my 3rd solution for that.

i can tell you that using more of the 3M tape that originally was on it will work only temporarily.

Also, don't use 3M Brand Plastic Emblem Adhesive - it expands and oozes out around the piece. Same for Gorilla Glue.

i just ordered 4 whole new center caps, and plan on squirting tons of good ol JB Weld 2-Part Epoxy in behind the metal emblems so they won't fall off. so far, nobody's told be it's a bad idea.

I lost a center VW cap as well on the road somewhere. Where did you order it from? How much?

Thanks, Rich

well i shouldnt say ordered - i bought them from an org member.

i know you can get the center wheel covers at the dealer for ~ $16 each. watch ebay and you might be able to get one for cheaper.

Thanks all,

I'll keep those in mind. The main thing I'm worried about is whatever I use not sticking to the metal when it gets cold here this winter. And I'm pretty sure it's gets a bit colder here in Iowa than in either Florida or California.
